Description
PENNSYLVANIA PIECED QUILTS, LOT OF TWO, each having pastel printed fabrics, one made up of small hexagons forming diagonal diamond patterns with purple and light blue border; and the other with starbursts made up of small bars of fabric in block designs with yellow surround. Late 19th/early 20th century. 69" x 78", and 80" x 77".
One in excellent condition having only a minor stain in one corner, and the other in good condition overall having moderate wear and separation on surface of hexagon fabrics.
Provenance: Property of a Pennsylvania private collector.
Descended in the family of Anna Fenner Woodring, Northampton, PA.
