[BINDING]. TAYLOR, Jeremy (1613–1667). The Rule and Exercises of Holy Living [and] Holy Dying. London: Bell and Daldy, 1857. 2 volumes, 8vo. Half–titles and titles printed in red and black, engraved frontispiece in Holy Living (faint offsetting to title), woodcut initials, woodcut head–pieces. Modern chocolate crushed levant ruled in blind, raised bands, gilt titling in compartments, all edges gilt, broad turn–ins, marbled endpapers, STAMP–SIGNED BY SCRIBNER’S SONS; individually housed in cloth chemises and olive crushed niger slipcases gilt. Provenance: Vincent Lloyd Russell (bookplates). An exceptionally clean copy in a handsome binding.
